The Founder C. Ramakrishnan began his career in the shipping industry in 1988 as an Operations Assistant with All Cargo consolidation division Dronagiri CFS at Mumbai, where he gained strong foundational experience until 1999. From 1999 to 2001, he served as Executive – Operations at LCL Logistics Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, further strengthening his expertise in logistics and cargo handling.

Between 2001 and 2006, he worked as Assistant Manager – Operations at Aquarius Pvt. Ltd., a sister concern of Wan Hai Lines, where he was deeply involved in vessel operations and cargo management. He later held the position of Manager – Operations at Total Transport Systems Limited from 2006 to 2011, leading operations and handling complex shipping requirements with efficiency and precision.

With over two decades of hands-on experience in Import and Export consolidation, LCL (Less Than Container Load), FCL (Full Container Load), and vessel handling—including KMA vessels (Yangool) at Chennai Port—Mr. Ramakrishnan transitioned into entrepreneurship as a marine cargo surveyor. His professional journey is marked by exceptional performance at globally reputed organizations.

On 9th May 2011, he founded M/S Weal Marine Cargo Survey with a vision to serve the shipping industry through integrity, technical expertise, and industry knowledge gained over years of experience. The company’s core motto is to provide 24×7 service, ensuring that our customers’ flag flies high at all times. From inception, the organization has been driven by strong operational standards and a customer-first approach.

Having worked with some of the best consolidation companies in the industry, Mr. Ramakrishnan possesses in-depth knowledge of export and import consolidation. From day one, he has personally trained and mentored his team, sharing his experience to continuously enhance their performance and ensure the highest level of service to clients.

Today, Weal Marine Cargo Survey is supported by a team of well-experienced and highly professional staff with industry experience ranging from 4 to 8 years. The team efficiently handles LCL Import & Export, FCL Import & Export, and cargo measurement for major console agents, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of all survey activities.

The company also adopts modern digital practices, offering a website-based reporting system through which clients can conveniently view container survey reports online. Any cargo damage is immediately intimated to clients via WhatsApp, enabling swift communication and prompt corrective action.

Currently, Weal Marine Cargo Survey handles LCL import and export consolidation, empty container surveys, and FCL export surveys, and proudly manages approximately 900 TEUs of import and export cargo with energetic and skilled professionals.
